its a good cut, no doubt, I just find that rule to be weird that's all. we will just agree to disagree about it being the best cut made.

One rule of the camp... CDM coffee and chicory is always made on the stove top in a percolator .... No electric coffee pots allowed....

A couple of my favorites to cook at the deer camp are pot roasted doves, duck gumbo, venison stew, venison vegitable soup, venison stroganoff, & venison taco/tamale/nacho night.
Otherwise lunch is best obtained at Traceway or Larry C's of Eupora. Its hard to be Traceway.

Put it all in a pyrex or roasting pan and bake in the oven for a couple hours on 300 or so.
Definitely will be adding this to it, along with the chopped onion. I've done a honey and syrup on it, was really good. I'm not sure if it adds any flavor or not, I like to think it does, but someone always gets a little tipsy and adds a shot or 2 of whiskey while it's being cooked.

If I'm using beef, I'll usually pour a little out of a white can in there while I'm browning it. Does a good job of pulling out some of the grease.

All I know is that camp man meals are always the best meals I eat during the week. My Sunday evening dumps are usually pretty eventful.
