Pelicans, I'm told, are zeroing in on PG Nate Wolters for 10-day deal after Wolters cleared waivers earlier today following release by Bucks

Word on @nbadleague grapevine is vet PG Mike James -- as well as ex-Pel Gal Mekel -- was on Pels' radar screen 'til Wolters became available

Here is a highlight video if you want to kill 4 minutes: LINK

He's not bad. He did pretty well last season as a rookie.

He also has some size and can knock down a shot

Can he get the job done? That's all that matters. A backup pg doesn't have to dazzle in the spotlight.

Despite his dreadful shooting, I liked Mekel. But Wolters is definitely worthy of an audition, so let's see how it goes.

Mike freaking James...

Didn't we have him back in the season where we were 2nd in the west? He didn't do squat for us then as a backup and I doubt his arse has aged like wine.

Does Wolters play in the D-League? If so, what team? I want to check out a game on Youtube.

Wolters did not play in the D-League, he was waived by the Bucks a few days ago so they could sign Kenyon Martin to a 10-day contract. Wolters cleared waivers so he is now (was) a free agent.

Hopefully he works out. Mo Williams just dropped 52 on the Pacers which could put him out of our price range.

Highlights look good.

While watching his video I thought he was a good three point shooter. His stats say no. It appears all of his made attempts were in the video.

Would have loved Nelson, but he is now a Nugget. Wolters is a good backup PG. Like the move.

I've heard of contract seasons, but Mo just went Matt Flynn with the contract game.
