I've posted previously about my discrepancies with Fire TV, and last night I realized another one. It seems as though the Prime library on the Fire TV is extremely limited compared to Prime videos offered on Amazon.com.

Is this correct or am I missing something? I was browsing through documentaries last night and noticed they didn't have that many on the Fire TV. I knew Prime offered more, so I checked Amazon and they have an endless list it seems. Why do they not have the same library? Is it hardware related?

Why would they limit Fire TV users?

Have you tried doing a voice search for a particular movie? I'm not a huge fan of the search menus on the home screen and my guess is there are some Prime movies that aren't being listed but are available; you just have to physically search for them.

Pretty sure this is the case.

Did you have any luck with improving your bootleg internet coverage?

That may be the case, but that would still suck. Most of the time I don't know what I want to watch and just like to browse. I guess I could just do that on my phone or tablet, but that extra step is what I thought the Fire TV was supposed to eliminate.

Well the extender I bought worked like a charm in what it was supposed to do, extending the range of the signal. I was getting 5 bars throughout my whole apt.

But the reviews I read about it cutting the speed in half were true, it was even slower than before. I didn't have a signal problem apparently, the restaurant just has shitty internet. I did a speed test inside the restaurant and it was the same as in my apt.

Looks like I'll probably quit being a cheapskate and buy internet.

I agree. The FireTV has been a homerun for everything I want it to do with basically this one exception. I deal with it because we pretty rarely watch anything from Prime anyway but it's still a bummer.
