What settings do you guys use on your trail cameras? Currently set up at 5 sec with 3 burst shots. I find I have a lot of pictures with nothing. Maybe need to adjust the sensitivity?? Using a Moultrie cam.

First off, they may be called "trail cameras" but they suck at monitoring trails unless you positing the camera pointing down the trail. If you just put it pointing across the trail you will get a lot of pictures of tails or nothing. Throw a few handfuls of corn down to make them stop for a second.

As for the settings I put mine on three shot bursts with a minute interval between them.

I used the video setting 10-20 seconds with 1 minute between.

I get the biggest SD card available (usually 16GB but 32GB exists too), and set my camera on the highest sensitivity, taking the most picture, with the shortest delay between, most of the time. If I know I'm leaving it for a long time (>3 weeks or so) I'll reduce the pictures to conserve battery. I like having lots of pictures to go through and study. Some people don't. I usually leave mine for 2 weeks at a time and change the batteries after 4 weeks of picture taking. If the meter on the camera says less than 75% battery you need to change them, from my experience.

knock down the grass in front of your camera. Sometimes it will take pictures of stuff blowing in the wind.
