Guys, do you have any good recommendations on an electric razor that gets a close shave?

I can recommend a razr.
Thing is so sharp, it should still do the trick.

Braun Series 7, but it will set you back about 2 bills.

Panasonic FTW, nothing else is even close, have tried them all.
Like anything the more you spend the better quality of product you will get, but well worth it.

Brauns are good but expensive (especially if you buy the cleaning/charging kit) Personally I think the cleaner is a waste of money. It's just as easy to charge the thing by plugging it into the wall, and cleaning it takes no more effort than running the shaver under the faucet and wiping the foil down with alcohol.
I've owned both foil and rotary shavers, and much prefer the foil. Look for something with a high CPM (cuts per minute) i.e. how fast the cutter moves. IMO, the faster the better.
I picked up a Panasonic Arc 3 wet/dry a few years back for about $90 on Amazon. It gives a pretty quick and close shave. I like it much more than my Braun that I had for 7 years prior. It holds a charge relatively well (about 5 to 7 shaves before needing to be charged) and doesn't slow down as the battery life gets lower and lower. The only downside is that the head is pretty large and it can be tough to get into tight spots. The 3 foil cutter should be plenty. They make a 4 and 5, but the heads on those are massive.

I've tried 4 different electric razors and never found one that I liked.
Switched to a safety razor and never looked back.

I have bought 3 top of the line ones in my life and never used any for a week, they just suck compared to Gillette Fusion.
