I didn't want Chavis to leave, but I'm not sold that he made out defense great. I'm leaning towards the talent was elite, as was his good defenses at Tennessee. When we weren't super loaded, our defenses got exposed at times.

I'm done being roped into different names. When we finally make the hire, odds are it'll be in one fell swoop. We'll wake up one morning or log in one evening at random and the thing will be signed and done without days of rumor preceding it.

that matches up with a post on 247 from new years eve saying:

then this week that same poster said:

the poster on 247 never confirmed or even hinted that it was Muschamp, which mytigger on here did, so that makes me think theyre not the same person, but rather two people who actually know someone involved with the search.

The stuff about Harris being a lazy malcontent that did an interview without permission surfaced weeks later. Coincidently right after Jennings lit it up at Arkansas.
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see when and how these little nuggets of insider information get released.
They may hire Bill Cower for all I know..... But most of this stuff is just bullshite.

LSU hasn't said anything regarding the hire. Has it ever crossed your mind that the "search" is going exactly how Les wants it to go and they leaked the info about the interest simply to calm people down who are freaking out over nothing?

That's what I'm saying. No one really knows what's going on. But yes, I think there are times when they get their media mouthpieces to leak stuff for whatever reason. To try to control perception. It doesn't mean Ponamsky or Rabalais has any clue what the frick is going on.

Oh I totally agree they don't have a clue what's going on. I just put more stock into reports from The Advocate than I do from those guys on the radio.
