Which one do you go for?

Week long in 1 location or 2 weeks covering several places....

Ex: 1 week in Paris vs 2 weeks seeing Chicago, New York, Boston, and Philadelphia

I thought you already booked your trip--having second thoughts again?

IMO, staying someplace really nice for a shorter time is always preferable to something not-so-special for a longer time.

Nope my trip is booked.....

4 days 5 nights in Brussels
5 days 6 nights in London

Day trip to Antwerp and Ghent
Day trip to Paris and Venice

Did change around 14 days in Brussels but now trip is booked, paid for, and tours paid for. Also, I've lost window to change plans now

Looking at next summer now

Is then week long trip an actual week there or a week including travel. If it's the latter it's just not enough time there IMO.

Week including travel so basically 5 days
Vs a full 13 days hitting up other places

I'd probably go overseas but try to stretch out to 9-10 days. If you can afford to go for 7 you can figure out a way to afford 9 or 10.

I also wouldn't spend all my time in one city even if it is a place like Paris.

My advice, Italy.

Take the week in Paris. And clean up the terrorist shite while you're over there.

I would spend a week in Europe. The euro just hit a 9 year low against the $ this week.

Rome, Florence, Lake Como, Amalfi Coast...

Spend 3 days in Rome/Vatican, a night in Florence and pick Como or the Coast and spend three more days.

I just went to Belgium in November. Imho you might enjoy Bruges more than Antwerp. Antwerp was more industrial, and Bruges was very beautiful. Ghent was my favorite, though.
Either way you will have fun.

That would make a difference! I really enjoyed Brussels as well. Seems like you could spend a week walking around Grand Place and still not see everything.

1 week is not enough time for Europe IMO. I won't even do 2 weeks in Europe anymore....always minimum 3 weeks. But 1 week is not worth it considering air fare expense and travel days/jet lag recovery.
