My TV went out on me this morning

I turned on my TV this morning and after about 5 minutes, it just went blank. It was on but no sound or picture. The remote could not turn it off. I unplugged it and tried it again but all that happen was the TV light came on then nothing. Still could not turn it off.
Now my TV was on ESPN 2 from the game last night so Mike and Mike was on. Hopefully it didn't commit suicide.
Is there an easy fix like a fuse or something? It is a Panasonic Viera Plasma. Any help will be appreciated.

No. Buy a new tv.

I had a capacitor or something like that go out on my LCD TV that kept it from powering on. It cost me about $100 to get it fixed. Call a few TV repair places and see how much they charge to take a look at it.

You should just get a 4k tv. Or a Samsung Curve or whatever.
Those things are neat.

Do You have directv? If so add the protection plan to it, wait a few weeks and make a claim. They will send you a better tv than you had. Seems kinda dishonest but when the install guy was at my house upgrading to the genie system my tv had just gone out. He signed me up and everything . His idea.

Do you hear the relay throw when you turn it on?

I had a LG plasma do the same exact thing. It turned out to be the circuit board. I had it 13 months, called LG and they fixed it under warranty. That was 2 years ago, and it's been fine ever since.

Do you get any sound?
If no sound, something simple would be to check the fuse on the power supply board.
Just be very careful taking the plasma apart. After unplugging the TV give it at least 5 minutes for the caps to discharge.
Do not touch anything on the back of the TV when plugged in, voltages near 400v are common.
