someone on the Geaux 24/7 board threw this name out last night as a possible DC interview since the plane was in Sugarland last night

Mike Vrabel

- 39 years old
- just finished first year as the LB coach of the Texans
- LB coach at Ohio State from 2011-13
- 2012 espn recruiter of the year and rivals big 10 recruiter of the year
- consensus All American LB at Ohio State
- won 3 Super Bowls with the Patriots
- 2007 first team All Pro LB
- member of the SI.com All Decade team

personally I would love this if he would approve O as the DL coach so we can go ahead and fire brick. the recruiting trio of Frank, Vrabel, and O would be lethal.

its a risk obviously since hes never been a DC but linebackers tend to be smart, and he played under Belichick. if nothing else I think our LB play would vastly improve just in time for Dylan Moses.

what am I "wrong" about? what part of "grasping at straws" followed by a question mark gave you the impression that I was making some kind of declaration.

Well, he lives in Bellaire, so a flight into Sugar Land would make some sense (both on West side of town). Maybe he’s still angry about having his Super Bowl rings jacked in a robbery last year.
