Since we have a verbal from younger brother

Donavaughn Campbell committed to LSU

What's the word on older brother Christian Campbell?
Is he still solid to GT?
He could play a variety of positions.

I've got some friends at Tech that played football at Ponchy and said he Is all Georgia tech. Said he loves to be in control and that Ponchy and GT run a triple option.

I also asked what they thought of Donavaughn and they said he is kind of soft and sort of strays away from contact, but you can't teach size.

Hard to argue with him going to ga tech to play qb, but if he wants to play some safety, LSU will get him.

That's the thing, my friends played with him and keep up with the coaches, according to both of them he's ALL Georgia Tech. He loves running the triple option, and having that much control and decision making.

As of the last time I heard, he still holds no LSU offer. As much of a PHS and LSU fan I am, I hope he goes to Tech. He will strive in that offense one day and it will give me another team to watch on a saturday.
Christian may also be a MLB draft prospect just FYI

Correct. He's a perfect fit for the true Wishbone that they run.

Well, there's our "in". If we really want him, we'll get him for dual sports.

Obviously, if he plays qb for Tech, he aint thinking about going to the NFL....so it's MLB or bust, and we are the destination for that (if he's good enough to play here)

I believe you, but the highlights I saw showed me a mailer that loved contact and searched for blocks down the field. Granted, it WAS a highlight film.. So I can't speak to all the other plays he was a part of..

After Christian I think the pickings are pretty slim. Just think he is a much better player than any rankings have him listed. He ran a 4.4 at LSU and cleans 280 as a QB, he's just an athlete.

He's an interesting prospect. I just don't know if he'd play WR or safety here.

I am told no.

I work with a member of his family and I asked him 3 days ago before DC committed and he said Christian was stay with Georgia Tech. Also where as before he said he want to play defense it looks like know he will stay with QB. If you know anything about him, he is absolutely perfect for the GT offense.

IMO if he doesn't go to Tech he should play safety anywhere else he goes.

I think its too late and lack of a DC is probably hurting this. I am told if LSU offered him he would be a Tiger, but it might be too late.

IMO, he has the ability to be a WR. He is so good with the ball in his hands that I would feel stupid to take him off the offensive side of the ball

I agree with all of this. I have just been hung up on him being a safety at the D-1 level. The dude absolutely loves contact. That pretty rare for a QB.
