I can't remember a 72% f.t. shooter at LSU missing 6 in a row

I feel bad for Mickey but it happens every now and then. It's weird how confidence has a lot to do with the game of basketball. Look at Hornsby right now and how loose he plays. Quarterman is the same way. I think Mickey is trying too hard to impress the scouts.

Some of the guys just didn't come ready to play today, which is a shame. Hopefully it's the last time that happens.

He couldnt make the.most.simple pass in the world to wode ioen post player from high post....no way in hell he could get a ball in a hoop.

He needed to be moved out of high post for the night and didnt happen so we lost

I think Mickey is not ready for the NBA.

0 for 6 is way less than 72%. Woulda been cooler had he hit some of those.

woah dude...

i agree that mickey isnt ready for the nba, but to say he is not the player he thinks he is... thats a little silly of you to say.
mickey is our only consistent play and is more nba ready than anybody.
the dude just had a bad game

Mickey normally plays the high post flash on our 2-3 offense because of his shot and czn get to rim. The key to beating a zone is getting in middle of it and having good decision maker. Can pass to low post if he seals his man, or go to either cutting wings...if zone doesnt attack him at high post then he has easy lane. Its all about high post working to get open and then zone is broken down.

Mickey normally handles it fairly wrll. But he had 0 confidence tonite he missed passes to him, missed easy passes to make, made terrible reads when zone sucked in on him and didnt pass to open shooters, he just didnt do one thing in last 15 min of the game that said this guy cam handle running the mozt important spot of the zone offense tonite.

Martin should have been.moved there before the foul out and let mickey use his height to do the low post seal amd high pass in to him and get easy buckets to hopefully get his confidence up. Martins shot even on misses looked confident while mickey just didnt want any part of shooting it..which cant have at the high post thats suppose to destroy the zone.

Well he takes several bad shots every game... and the timing of those shots are Really Bad, so its magnified. And yes he needs to have confidence and self worth , but I know a selfish team mate when I see one..

I'm not saying in 2 years he can't be a NBA player, but as for now ... No Way !!

But

Mickey's offensive efficiency has been for shite most of the year. Dunking against undermanned Savannah not withstanding.

So it's not all that surprising that the frustration would start to bleed over into his free throw shooting.

He's going in reverse offensively. That's concerning.
