With how basketball recruiting is going.

Would you mind having a down year if it meant a tourney contender every year after that? It seems like with Mickey and Martin possibly playing their last year this year at LSU and some studs coming in youth could affect us next year. But it's something I wouldn't mind seeing if we become tourney contenders every year after that

Yeah I can see that with how the program's been. I just think Jones is raising expectations for the program and he'd definitely be leaving behind quite a bit of talent if he'd move on.

No because our two studs we just signed for next year will probably only be here 1 year. Need to do what we can in 2015-2016 season before they leave.

It's all about building a tradition at this point. With Martin, Mickey, Simmons and Blakeney it could shore up our recruiting a shitload just by mentioning those names to a 17/18 year old kid and his parents.

I agree with UnAnon, this year you plant the seed, next year you water the plant, and the following years you reap what you sow. Talent will be coming into Baton Rouge on a regular basis. As long as David Patrick is on staff IMO LSU will not be short on talent.
