Back to the help request again.

Found out that Adolfo's tax cheating SOB's don't accept credit cards, so that is off the board for me tonight.

I'm trying to take a few out of town co-workers to the Marigny for dinner and maybe drinks at DBA and Apple Barrel.
One of the guys is a mid-western type who I know would never wonder down that way on his own and I would think isn't up for "unusual" food.

I haven't eaten around Frenchman in a while. What else would you suggest around there.

Well, there's Dat Dog. Three Muses.

Wander a little further down into the Bywater and you can go to Mariza, Bacchanal, Maurepas, etc.

Arabella Casa Di Pasta on St Claude.

Joint or Pizza Delicious

I'm done with Maurepas. Place has decreased their portions tenfold.

Thanks folks. Looks like it will be Irene's. We can walk to Frenchman pretty easy from there.
I will have to entertain again in a few weeks and I will look back to this thread for ya'lls suggestions.

While you have already chosen for tonight, in the future, don't overlook The Franklin. Great new place with some fine food and drinks.

Damn I still haven't been The Franklin. I heard a mixed review early on, but that came from someone who's sort hard to please.

Mariza is all aces for sure, though.

Franklin's okay. Definitely worth a try. It's one of those new sort of places where it's hard to put together an actual meal (which could be good or bad depending on your mood, I suppose).

Mariza is far better, though. It's one of my favorite current places in town.

Not really talking portion sizes, as much as there's just no rhyme or reason to it, seemingly.

They have a dish that looks like a complete gimmick type thing, though, which works surprisingly well. It's this sliced steak with a scoop of foie gras ice cream.

Like I said, give it a shot.

Yeah, it does seem to have an eclectic selection. I'm going to go soon.

I do like Marizas. Maurepas has been on a decline, and given the sparse crowds there lately, I 'm not sure how much longer it will last (I live close to it). The Franklin has some great seafood offerings and has a nice interior build-out. Decent price, especially for the quality of the food. Give it a try.

Franklin might be my favorite place right now. I've never had a problem putting together a great evening.
