I've ridden thru a bunch of coots like that on the Red River before, but not ducks or geese.

I read a story about how Native American use to swim into a lake and catch them by hand. They would hold real steady, the geese would swim up to them, they would grab the geese by the neck and drown them or break their necks.

That is absolutely insane. I have no explanation for how that took place. Usually they see a headlamp shine toward them and the whole field gets up and leaves. These were coming straight into the headlights of the SxS. WOW

I wonder who on this board would have just filmed the excitement, and who would have been out there ringing necks.

Conflicted about this. One the one hand, easy ducks! On the other hand, I don't get to shoot the ducks.

Looks like it was foggy and the geese used the light to find water. Kinda like a frog in a headlamp.
