Why have coin dollars never caught on? Seems like it would be easier?

In Mexico the 20 Peso coin is quite handy and used a bunch. Why don't we use them here more? I paid with two of them at Walgreens and got looked at like I'm dumb.

Because it's a lot easier to carry 20 $1 bills than carrying 20 coins somewhere? Bills can go in wallets, coins don't?

I'm Ron Burgundy?

But seriously, it's just as easy as carrying change in your pockets.

I always wondered how Canadians operate in strip clubs with their dollar coins.

No it isn't. This is possibly the dumbest thread made on this board.

Because strippers don't want to get pelted with metal coins. They would rather you make it rain dolla bills!

I currently have a 20 peso note in my wallet. Would much rather have the note in my wallet than a coin in my pocket.

I guess this is the difference between men and women. You have purses to carry around all those coins. We have limited space.

Do vending machines take them?

I'm talking the Sacagawea coins.

I think a lot of the pool halls/pool tables take them. I say this because my brother travels often being big in pool and always has a pocket full of the Sacagawea $1 coins
