If Haley is promoted to DC but no O, are you okay with this?

Would this be considered a "botched" solution to the problem?

I think "collective-fanbase-blue-balls" would be an understatement.

This place would be shutdown for at least a day.

Go look at Haleys defenses while he was at Baylor
and then you can answer your own questions

Haley shouldn't even be on the staff much less DC

see? Orgeron isn't so bad as a gamble when you look at the alternatives

No I wouldn't be. It would be a major fail and the death knell for Miles. only thing worse would be bringing in Steele

Who would be DL coach then if Haley is promoted? Does he retain that position in your hypothetical?

Failure on all fronts. Doesn't make sense to do that. Only reason to promote Brick is to bring in O.

My opinion doesn't matter , but hell neaux I wouldn't be happy with that scenario. If Haley is promoted then ED O needs to be on board. If they get a highly touted DC then , I understand no room for O.

I really hope one of the NFL teams take Haley off our hands......this whole scenario has been a complete clusterfrick. Either way I squarely blame it on Joe Alleva and Co........if it was a contract issue, we should have been doing our due diligence all along and been ready to make a hire. If Chavis was unhappy about the offense and starting to chirp to other teams, we should have been doing our due diligence and been ready to make a hire. Either way the administration in all of this have acted like the keystone cops. How Alleva keeps the job at LSU is beyond me...and just wish we could get up enough momentum to run his arse out of town before he really screws something up.

I'm not OK with Haley at DC under any circumstances

any scenario that results in Haley being promoted would be considered "botched"
No O and its a total fricking disaster, shite show

I totally agree with this. I really like Les but I'm not what the guy has going on in his head right now.

This would be eerily reminiscent of the time when the OL coach retained his OL duties after he was promoted to OC. I think most would agree that went well.
While I don't know enough to provide valid criticisms of him as a coach, I have trouble seeing Haley as anything but a fallback plan. Surprisingly, DandyDon stated Haley to be the leading candidate in his fan poll of who should be hired.
