Looks like this will be the final straw for those who have been on the fence about cord cutting. You can now get ESPN as well.

During our brief time with it, Sling TV worked perfectly. The demo given to us was using a Roku 3 and an iPad Air, and it's obvious that Dish wanted the UI (see: lead image) of its internet TV to follow the same design guidelines across devices, regardless of the platform. The Mini Guide displays what's "On Now" on the different networks, letting you pick whether to "Watch Now" or "Start Over," both features being self-explanatory, although "Start Over" does depend on the content rights for each network. You can also do what Sling TV is calling "Network View," which allows you to see all the programming available from the networks, including on-demand content.

Based on what I read, you'll be able to watch ESPN and ESPN2. Not sure about WatchEspn or the U.

I might be wrong, but it seems like with the ESPN app, you just log in and you have access to games shown on ESPN2, ESPNU, etc.

Then again, I might be paying for all these channels currently, and that's why I see them all on the app. Not clear on that...

correct.

my watchESPN app for instance blacks out all the SEC-network games even though it shows up when i search.

you will have to purchase the level of espn-ness you want to see those on the sling tv i imagine.

Live under a rock bro? DirecTV announced their new deal with ESPN for all the streaming features a few weeks ago.

I notice they are missing Viacom channels, this must be because of Sony's Internet TV service launching this month that they made a deal with.

From what I have seen it is only access to ESPN and ESPN 2 through the sling app. Only one device and no dvr features.
