Indiewire article on Kingsman reviews

For giggles I was looking at updates on this movie. The reviews I had read (3) were all positive. Then I found this article which comes to the same conclusion I had come to: everybody likes this movie.

Can't freaking wait for this one. Ready for Vaughn to deliver another cool, funny, over-the-top action-comedy romp straight to my eyeballs.

Surprising, but I still won't watch it.

This movie gives me a Wanted type of vibe but I've enjoyed Matthew Vaughn's other movies so I think this will be good.

How? Wanted was terrible. This doesn't look terrible.

How does a movie about super humans give you the vibe of a spy thriller comedy?

Well, this movie and Wanted were based on comics by Mark Millar, though Wanted was so different from the comic it may as well have been based on something else entirely, but Vaughn had nothing to do with Wanted. In fact, he's only directed 5 movies: X-Men First Class, Kick-arse, Stardust, Layer Cake, and now Kingsman.

I'll definitely watch it. The previews they show at the theaters have been pretty entertaining.

I didn't think much of it until someone started pretty much this exact thread a few weeks ago. Then I checked it out and it does look pretty good. I'm going to go check it out when it's released.

Young guy off the street gets recruited into some mysterious, top secret agency and goes through advanced training to become the ultimate badass. Plots sound similar to me.

Maybe spoiler but I think both main character's fathers were in the organization too.

I heard one critic talking about it. His review isn't out but he loved it. Said it was very funny and almost a parody to James Bond. Also said it was outrageously violent to the point of being kinda funny.

Yeah, apparently the ending is absolutely, ridiculously over the top.
