While trying not to throw up in your mouth. Quick question. Which of those were recruited from high school, and became "decent" QBs? The answer? NOT frickING ONE.

The thread makes a valid statement that Miles and Cam can't evaluate or develop true passing QBs and until they do or leave the opposing defenses will stack the line daring us to pass the ball.

That's right. The common denominator is Miles.

Is it bad that only 50% of the names on that list have actually had a pass attempt in a game???

TX Gunslinger is right. This isnt only about not finding talent, it is about the offensive system they are asked to operate in. Miles does not trust QBs period. The only one he mildly trusted was Mett. He plays offense to not lose games. It really doesnt matter what QB (Harris or Jennings) the offensive scheme will be the same. Run until we are forced to pass. This is the basic problem with the offense - way too predictable. This sets up our QBs for failure. the only time they are aloowed to throw is when it is obvious we have to. You arent going to be successful doing that, no matter who we have back there. Other teams mix up their plays and trust QBs to deliver. These other QBs from lesser schools have the benefit of offensive gameplans designed to maximize their potential and win games. Until this changes our offense will continue to be stagnant no matter who is Off Coor or QB. The common denominator is Miles. I am not bashing the guy, but he has to loosen the offense. Unfortunately, he knows that with a great defense he is almost assured of 8 wins with a couple 10 wins seasons sprinkled in playing the "dont lose offense. Apparently that is good enough for him.

Lee wasn't terrible later on, he was an Aj McCarron type QB.

RP would have been great had he not been a criminal. Had he stayed, Lee would have been able to mature and good things would have happened.

AJ Mccarron was one of the best SEC QB's in the last 20 years. Lee was no AJ McCarron

No he wasn't.. MaCarron threw for over 3000 and 28 TDs his senior year.

Nobody but Mett came close to those numbers.
