Just a hypothetical question, but how far do you think u could get across country doing ten miles over speed limit the entire way? I'm thinking most of the travel would be by interstate. I live in akexandria so if I were to head towards lafayette good chance my trip ends at the Washington exit

I would think most cops would not stop u for speeding ten miles over limit, unless it was just an unlucky day

The entire way if you are willing to back it down to 7 mph over the limit.

I've taken a few trips to the West and pretty much would always drive around 10 or so over. I only ever got one ticket, in Kansas, by an extremely polite and well mannered cop.

Made the trip to Hilton Head and Orlando the past year without any trouble using Waze app.

Back in the 80's I drove from Longview to Mesquite driving between 90-95 with three other cars that all had radar detectors. The other cars kept driving around 80 when we exited I-20 and got on Hwy 80. I slowed down to 10-12 miles per hour over the 60 miles an hour limit at that point.
That was before money got so tight & Sheriffs patrolled the interstate.

Out of curiosity, would anyone here pay for an out of state ticket?
You don't have to pay for it if you never going back right??

No. Most states share that information and if you don't pay the fine your license could be suspended in your home state. I think there are only 5 or so states that do not participate in this.

10 miles over? You get to the CA coast if you are white.

THIS. I got an 81 in a 75 in Washington , La too. Then I had a surprise license suspension from a child restraint ticket out of Woodworth that I was never told I had to show them my kids booster seat. Needless to say I got arrested on the side of the Interstate by a lady cop from Washington Pd. lol

I'm living in Fort Smith, Arkansas currently. If I travel West, I'll get stopped in Roland, Oklahoma, which is roughly 5 minutes away from my house. I'll literally get busted in the first 5 minutes. Its a town of 2400 people and has a police force of 12 officers, 3 on duty at any given time who sit along the highway and pull people over constantly. The speed limit drops from 60 to 35 so its easy to get busted. You cannot drive through that town without seeing red and blues. Got a $120 ticket from them last year for going 44 in a 40 at 2AM. frickers
I can drive 10-15 over on the interstate in Arkansas and the state troopers won't even look twice.
