The age of series kinda went down hill after 2

Yeah I always thought the decline of the RTS had to do with it being the most difficult type of game to play well.

Games want to appeal to the masses now. I knew it wasn't a good sign when C&C called it a day. I struggle to find an RTS like that it seems.
