Personally I think we've lost our edge for the exception of 2011. Our style of defense has been too pretty and we aren't getting to the QB. Granted no one really did in the SEC this year so it may just be the times are changing. What happened to that blitz every damn play and dominant dlinemen?

I don't know about pretty, but we've been too small with the line and linebackers. Need much better tackling also.

The kind that can stop other teams 2 minute offense at the of games.

Really, though. I want the meanest, baddest, nastiest D-line in CFB. That's where it all starts.

One that doesn't give up a lot of points.

3-4 or 4-3? If a new DC were to implement the 3-4 defense then the first year we will see growing pains. Very hard switch without the right personnel. Valentine would make the transition easier though.

Rush 4 drop 7 in coverage. That's the best D.

With the style of players we typically recruit, I think were better suited for a 3-4 defense. Look at the majority of our past players and the scheme they run in the NFL..

Peterson, Mathieu, Minter, Mingo, Claiborne(Drafted to a 3-4 defense), Montgomery(Signed to a 3-4 defense) Riley, Jackson(Drafted to a 3-4), Dorsey..the list goes on..Definitely a 3-4 style of team..Depth at LB probably prevents us from doing that, but we could run a 3-3-5 and put a LB standing up at the line as a pass rusher.. just my opinion

For real, what happened to the Dorseys and the Tyson Jacksons of the world? Those dudes tore it up

Hunter just looks like a freak. We have zero push up front, and unless we blitz never have pressure on the end

That's up to the coaches to decide based on personnel and talent.

I don't really care as long as whatever defense the coaches put out there can dominate for 60 minutes...not 28 minutes in each half.

Pressure on the QB. It is paramount to stopping drives.

I dont care how they do it whether its 3-4 or 4-3 but Im tired of our 230 lb ripped Dends (would be OLB in 3-4)going against tackles and being asked to be space eaters occupying blockers.

Whoever can fix this is who Im for.

If it's Stoops we are instituting the famed Turnstile Defense. It will look like Third and Chavis and last two minute defense under Chavis, except all game. A defense Lou Tepper would be proud of.
