Per Ed
Clancy was fantastic,” said Ed Orgeron, who coached with Pendergast at USC last season.

“His strength is gameday calling,” Orgeron told FoxSports.com. “He knows how to attack the no-huddle and really can adjust to what the other team’s trying to do. He doesn’t panic on the sidelines and the guy really has no ego.”

The only reason he is not hired already is $$$$$

Somebody needs to tell Aleva now is not the time to become a tightwad. Write the check and get these two men in here ASAP

We are not renting cars when just any old car will do.

This is a strategic hire. The wrong move , we go straight to the bottom and do not pass go.

If this would be true, then the Golden era of Tiger football is truly over if $$ suddenly becomes an issue...

This is a great combo. I really hope they are working out the final details to announce next week.

ALeva gambled that Chavis would not leave, he lost at the table, CLM did not have control over this

Aleva is rolling the dice again and it deals with trying to save a few hundred K-

Someone needs to step in and tell Aleva that the strategy he would have used 3 months ago to hire a DC is not the strategy he must use now.

Do the research. LSU made a statement they had an offer in front of Chavis with 30K raise and their offer was final

ALeva not willing to negotiate means he was willing to gamble Chavis would not walk and was willing to let him go if he did.

Chavis was disrepected as ALeva would not meet with him or talk about negotiating.

It is on Aleva

That is all past history. The real question is will Aleva see to it that this hire is handled correctly?

When you mention not being a tightwad are you referring just to the DC offer? Or possibly to other moves, offers, or buyouts that would upgrade the staff even further in addition to the new DC?

Aleva is a bean counter. Bean counters do not look at big pictures they only look at one bean at a time

They never envision the benefit of an iron pot full of red beans!

In LA cook dem pot of beans and we all have fun.

What are a few beans among friends?

I never count my beans before I cook them. I focus on the end result and the benefit to ALL.

This hire is on Aleva- if it fails he will throw CLM under the bus and that will get Aleva fired along with CLM

those few hundred k didn't stop seven (7) last minute losses by chavis.

his big man defense will never stop the HUNH and spread. tammy is in for a screwin'.

Maybe CP is great. All i know is he sure does get fired a LOT. Maybe that's not his fault. Once again i don't know.

Thank you. Being unemployed is a huge red flag. Of course the rant loves him, so there is that
