Freakouts about the DC search need to end

Get real guys, nothing with substance is going to come out until after interviews. I do believe that Clancy being the first one contacted shows he is the top choice.
Miles has to cover his bases if he misses out on other targets. I believe this is why we contancted Mike Stoops. Players like him, and he has coached some good defenses. He is also more multiple and has experience with the spread offenses of the Big 12 and Pac 12. Would not be a terrible hire if we whiff, just a fairly bad one based on what we expect

LSU football is at its most important crossroads in a decade--and the TD community knows this. The heart of the Tiger Nation knows that a great DC is essential to our future, and this tsunami of opposition to Mike Stoops reflects the profound, almost unanimous sense, that he would be disastrous. The freak out is warranted. The reason is quite simple--if all us ordinary fans comprehend this, how did Stoops even make the list of candidates?

I would be shocked if stoops got the job. I think it's obvious this was just a courtesy interview. I agree it is funny how basically everyone is completely against that move. It's rare to see everyone agree on here.

Crazy thought...but who is the DC at Kansas ST...They sure did give Auburn fits and did with a lot less talent than is in Baton Rouge. They seem to stop a lot of teams.

Curious to know what some of you idiots think the Rant is for. We have an opening at probably the second most important coaching position on our team and FANS want to speculate as to who may fill that opening. I think an LSU message board is an excellent place to do that.

It's a DC how many of them do people really know. You read about them after a name pops up and don't forget we got muschamp from Valdosta state could you imagine the rants reaction if something like that happened lol
