Dortmund= Andy Reid during Punt, Pass and Kick

He is still pretty raw and needs to master getting that big body around the tight turns. Big Brown is the sire but the rest of the pedigree has me wondering if he wants the distance. Not to mention will he stay good when the other 3 yr olds catch up to him.

Other ones that interest me are Carpe Diem(Pletcher trained and lightly raced so you probably wont get a good price on him derby day)

Texas Red- the BC juvenile winner..Afleet Alex blood and came from way back at Santa Anita

Some others that could be better prices by Derby day if they qualify- Upstart, Eagle, Frosted, Firing Line and Ocho Ocho Ocho.

El Kabeir will go tomorrow in the Jerome Stakes at Aqueduct. He can take over 1st in the qualifying with a top 2 finish. Couple of Pletcher horses in the field as well along with a Smarty Jones colt.

Will start getting more interesting when the points go to 50-20-10-5 in 6 weeks.

You are right just getting excited

I hope we have some good ones at Aqueduct this year going to try and make the derby races sans Jerome tomorrow.

Watched the two Texas Red races and was impressed.

I am excited about the older field this year too

Same here. Honor Code, Palice Malice, Shared Belief, CC, Bayern, Tonalist, Ride on Curlin and Wicked Strong hopefully all continue on and stay sound.

Plus the maiden races for Jess's Dream(curlin-rachel a)
and Cozmic One(Bernardini-Zenyetta) in the near future

I'd love to get over for the Arkansas Derby and maybe the Breeders Cup later in the year.

Wonder how many the Breeders cup will draw there. Looks like people are always dressed up there for some reason.
