Chavis greatly disrespected the players he recruited and coached. I hope our defense will remember this when A&M comes to BR next season.

and the head coach who hired him after he got fired at UT & the school that gave him nearly $1 million in raises and made him one of the highest paid assistant coaches in the country.

Seriously, frick Chavis. He burned some bridges with this chicken shite move. Can't wait to whip the Aggies and his fatass next year.

Very poor judgment by Chavez...it is what it is, time to move on and get someone better...maybe a new DC will make CLM open up the offense some...

Could Chavis have handled the situation better? Yeah

But obviously things that we don't know went on behind the scenes

And this guy had to put up with Les Miles every single day for 6 years while we just watch the stupidity for 13 games a year plus a spring game. I'm pretty sure Chavis made it longer than I would have.

I want my 400 grand. Alleva needs to pursue this with the way the "chief" acted.

Yeah. Leaving in silence was shite. Even if he actually was totally screwed by Alleva or Miles or both, the players didn't do it to him. That's Crap

Chavis was out of a job and considered a has been when Miles hired him. Miles keeping his mustang defense off the field with his poor but ball controlling offense, Wilson's recruiting, and Ron Cooper's eye for DBs is what made Chavis "elite".

With some of you --
if the sun doesn't come up, it's Miles' fault.
if it is cold outside, it's Miles' fault.
if it is too hot outside, it's Miles' fault.
etc....

And despite a poor departure from the program, Chavis will likely be remembered fondly by his Tigers’ players.

Only by the few that realize what he accomplished despite crippling offenses 4 out of his 6 years here.
