Who: LSU (10-2) vs Savannah St (3-9)
When: Saturday, January 3 - 6:00pm
Where: PMAC (13,215, 45th NCAA)
How:
***TV: SECN

LSU enters Saturday night's game on their longest winning streak of the Johnny Jones era. LSU looks to move that winning streak to 8 games with a win over Savannah St in the PMAC. A win would also mark Johnny Jones 50th win as LSU's head coach. It would also push LSU's record to 11-2 before heading into SEC play.
LSU Starting Lineup:
Josh Gray (6'1" 182 Jr) 31.1MPG, 10.6PPG, 4.6APG, 1.6SPG
Keith Hornsby (6'4" 210 Jr) 34.5MPG, 13.3PPG, 4.6RPG, 38.2%3PT
Jarell Martin (6'10" 236 So) 33.8MPG, 17.5PPG, 9RPG
Jordan Mickey (6'8" 235 So) 33.6MPG, 15.6PPG, 9.9RPG, 3.5BPG
John Odo (6'10" 245 Sr) 9.7MPG, 2PPG, 1.4RPG, 57.1%FG
Savannah St Starting Lineup:
Terel Hall (6'1" 185 Sr) 28.3MPG, 9.6PPG, 3.2APG
Khaleen Pinkett (6'2" 180 Fr) 26.3MPG, 4.8PPG, 2.3RPG
Demarcus Bryant (6'4" 200 Fr) 19.6MPG, 5.8PPG, 100%FT
Jamal Norman (6'5" 185 Fr) 19.6MPG, 3.6PPG, 3.9RPG
Saadiq Muhammad (6'7" 210 So) 25.1MPG, 8.5PPG, 4.9RPG
When looking at Savannah St, it's hard to ignore their weaknesses. They have the lowest free throw percentage in all of college basketball at 53.2%. They also have the second worst turnover %. They are near the bottom in 3 point percentage, two point percentage, and offensive efficiency. On defense they allow a ton of offensive rebounds and put their opponents on the free throw line extremely too often.
Against top competition, Savannah St has been just horrible. They have a 87-26 loss to Louisville and a 95-49 loss to Indiana.
The visiting Tigers do turn opponents over regularly so LSU should try and protect the basketball. Still, LSU should win this game easily.
Prediction:
LSU 82, Savannah St 48

Hope to see a lot of Patterson, Epps, Malone, and Robinson in the 2nd half.

This should be a bloodbath. Everyone should play. Savnnah is awful yearly in basketball and football. Like historically bad.

Should be unless LSU completely falls asleep at the wheel like Mich. St. against previously 1-9 Texas Southern.
This is basically a live scrimmage to get ready to go for SEC play

Love it. This game is a showcase game. Raining dunks.

They are small. They cannot shoot. I can't see a way this game stays even close.

Savannah St. avoids the shutout when the tenacious TQ gets whistled for goaltending 9 times
LSU 67-18
