My apologies if this has been posted before but how do we get this changed?

Staring Lane - residential with median - 35mph

Kennilworth Parkway - residential with median - 35mph

Yet Bluebonnet in the Spring Lake area is 30mph...makes no sense.

It does when the point of the speed limit is for the collection of speed tickets and not in the interest of public safety.

I don't know why, but you could just obey the speed limit.

Cities are designed by the most vocal people.

It means the two people who actually cared about it showed up to the planning commission/city council meeting and got it placed at 30. Since BRPD/BRSO or whoever patrols gets more money and no one else who cared the other way showed up, it got passed 7-2.

Yeah before yall start blaming the EBRSO for the speed limit. It was actually done by people that were involved in the development and also live in the area

So if we don't know the logic behind a law or simply wish to change it your suggestion is shut up and obey?

Because that's was what the OP was talking about not breaking the law.

If I remember correctly, (and has been noted above) the residents raised all kind of hell when the extension was actually going to happen that the city/parish agreed to put that ridiculous speed limit to shut them up.

To keep that road less noisy for people like me who live right next to it.

I appreciate it.

People in Springlake wanted it so that get-away cars would slow down when they're bringing their loot from their neighborhood to Gardere.
