I liked his character. He was funny. But it will be difficult to script how his character survived the plane explosion when it flew straight up into the spaceship. We didn't ever see him "die" but like most others I assumed him dead. Oh well.

He kamikaze crashed a jet into something more powerful than fusion.

frick will smith. I'd prefer seeing what Goldblum did with his life in the story. Add channing Tatum or someone as a marine sergeant for the comic action role. Etc

Maybe they can explain why the military guys rolled their eyes at thought of him being abducted by aliens even though they were recruiting pilots to battle an alien invasion at the time.
