Will Miles "slow play" finalizing the DC hire?

I believe that if we are short a coach, then it increases the number of in-home visits that Miles can make.

Do you think he slow plays - or at least delays finalizing - the hire so he can make more in-home visits?

I think the uncertainty isn't worth more in home visits, but he may.

It would be a ,intake to slow play with recruiting. It wasn't helping A&M to not have a coach in place.

Les needs to move fast on a quality hire.

Hope not unless he's waiting on a home run hire.

The posts yesterday would suggest that Miles may not be the long pole but the AD that will bless the decision

You don't think Miles would tell recruits, "we've got our guy, you're gonna love playing for (insert guy's name here,) but I wanted to come see you personally?"

I want them to announce just so I know, but Miles with more visits isn't a bad thing...epecially if you can tell a kid they're gonna be playing for a reputable defensive coach.

Les could use this to his advantage since he does close pretty good with recruits. I agree though a quick hire would settle things down especially if he can bring in a qb.

We need to hire a good DC and recruiter Asap . That would show more stability. IMO

We knew we had Chavis around NYE in 08, but I don't think he was officially hired for a few weeks after. Might be something similar here.

I mean, you've got recruits saying Chavis told them last week he was staying. They don't want to be told something, they want to see something happen.

Ideally Haley would follow Chavis and we can hire a DC and Miles still gets the extra visits.
