The only silver lining I can see in this news is that it might actually speed up the process of Miles no longer HC at LSU

If Miles doesn't make a GREAT, and I am not talking good but Great, hire as DC then next year we will probably be at the bottom of the SEC West. That actually might speed up the process in some kind of capacity "retiring, fired etc..." of Miles leaving LSU. Because there is no fricking way we stand a chance of having any kind of offense that will put up points with AJ as our QB. And unless a miracle happens everyone knows how Miles operates, he is comfortable with JJ "oops I meant AJ" behind center so he will be our starter which means the offense is sooooo fricked and unless we hire someone great as a DC you can just about book a 6-6 type of record maybe worse and that should get the wheels in motion.

How will this look to the brass paying the money;

2011 - 13-1 "8-0 " in the SEC
2012 - 10-3 "6-2" in the SEC
2013 - 10-3 "5-3" in the SEC
2014 - 8-5 "4-4" in the SEC

and if

2015 - 6-6 with a "2-6" in the SEC

Yeah I would love someone to convince me that the DECLINE is not real.

Miles better get this shite right, or this might be the silver lining to get him the frick out!!!!

If we do happen to go 6-6, miles should be replaced.

If we go 6-6 next year I think Miles and Aleva should be gone.

So let's waste the talent of Fournette, Dupre, Adams, etc with a 6-6 season on the hopes of getting Miles replaced. You are an idiot

Yeah, 11 rushes To LF and the QB we got throwing to Dupre and its a posters wishes fault on the talent being wasted. You're an idiot

The decline is most definitely real. The question is can Les reverse it. I hope so, I like Miles. But if he can't and the program regresses even more then I hope he retires. I hope they don't have to fire him, but if it comes to that so be it.

I know we all bitch and moan about this and that with the team. But I agree with what Charlie Hanigriff said on his show yesterday. For the first time since 1999 I am genuinely worried about the program.

I was thinking about this too. I'm interested to see what our offense looks like if we end up not being able to use the defense as a crutch.

Loyalty works both ways, and the university has been loyal to Les. In saying that, Les should retire before the University would have to fire him. If he had had no success here it would be easier to hire a good coach if we fired him because of losing more than he has.

This is going to look really stupid when LSU makes the playoff next season.

There is going to be changes and I don't think it has anything to do with Chavis leaving. In 2008 LSU went 8-5. Following that season LSU fixed thier horrible defense and went into a conservative shell on offense. For the most part, the changes worked. LSU had 5 seasons of no fewer than 9 wins with and undefeated SEC championship season thrown in. This year that approach brought them back down to 8-5. Miles hasn't ever been proactive in is LSU tenure, but he has shown to be reactive. That said he knows his approach this year won't work anymore. I think it will bring about the changes needed on offense (I hope!!)

No I am not saying we want to waste any talent, but Alleva and Miles better get this DC hire right. If they don't do you really have faith that Miles & Cameron will be able to keep us relevant? If you do, than there is no reasoning with you anyway. All you have to do to figure out that is look at this years offense. We wasted Harris's, Dupre's Quinn & Jackson's talents this year, you actually think that is not going to continue!
