Why do people put so much stock in the fact that Miles has more wins at LSU than Saban? He's been here twice as long as Saban. Shouldn't that be a given?

Not trying to compare coaches. Just wondering why this is always such a "valid" point for so many.

Saban won 2 SEC Titles and 1 NC in 5 years
Les won 2 SEC Titles and 1 NC in 10 years

Jesus frick why do dumb fricks continue to bring up Nick Saban after every loss?

Give up you fricking idiots. Nick Saban is not a coach at LSU. Go become a fan of whatever school he is coaching at.

Saban is vastly superior to Miles in almost every way possible as a head coach ... and anyone who says otherwise simply cannot be taken seriously.

No way that this LSU team would have finished 8-5 this year with Bama's coaching staff.

The pumpers have said this:

Saban wasn't so hot at LSU. Outside of one lucky season, he usually lost three games. Not to mention he lost to UAB and completely shite the bed in the bowl game against Iowa. Don't forget that Saban lost to Bama 31 to nothing. Miles has done better than Saban.

Just give Miles more time! We all knew that this was a rebuild year.

This is the rebuttal to what you said, even tho the pumpers are laying low today. They will be back before long.

Not sure that it is. That said, not sure we would have kept Saban anyway. He commented at one point on how everyone was satisfied with the NC and didn't seem to have the hunger in their bellies anymore. Indeed, I think there was a time that he wanted to come back, and if Les had fricked up bad enough in his first or second year, he would have been back.

That said, the paths are set. Saban will retire at Alabama. Meanwhile, we're stuck with "Mess" Miles.

The difference between them is Saban couldn't win championships in the NFL with NFL players, Miles can't win championships in the SEC with NFL players.

saban is a better coach now then when he was at lsu. he should be. time and experience. that being said, we tried very hard (im as guilty as anyone) to rationalize and pump miles up with stats, etc. yes, saban was lucky to get a rematch. admit it, when that plane landed in tuscaloosa, we knew the fun was over. it was just a matter of time before he took control. he's a perfectionist and gives the utmost attention to detail. he's far and away a better coach. i dont care if we take them to the brink. we get moral victories, he gets wins. he's in the 4 team playoff and we're in baton rouge licking our wounds.the writing is on the wall- there are a number of head coaches that are better than miles.2 yrs ago, an anonymous coach talked about our slow, steady decline. does anyone not see that this is coming to fruition?

As one of the commentators on ESPN said one night, "My, how quickly the mighty have fallen."

Never forgot that statement throughout the season.
