Foster Farms commercials with chickens bawking classic songs are legit.

At the game. Putting attendance at less than 30k. Cold and windy night considering location. Much colder than usual.

Maryland's helmets and uniforms look freakin' sweet. This one of their normal get-ups or something special?

I'll be happy when Michigan is good again so the B1G can stop getting their arse handed to them in these lopsided matchups.

How much of the team is back and what does the schedule look like?

Really enjoy Stanford's brand of football. Would love the possibility of meeting them in the playoff next year.

Levi's Stadium is maybe 10 miles from Palo Alto.

dat Stanford "fanbase."

And I don't think anyone on the west coast realizes Maryland is now in the B1G. A recognizable name might have drummed up slightly more local interest.

But man it's freaking cold tonight.

Losing Ty Montgomery, our best playmaker on O. the o-line was a bit of a mess. They're young, and should be improved next season. Also, the team didn't have a workhorse tailback, which was a key factor even during the Luck years. Kevin Hogans flaws were exposed because the rest of the offense was flawed.

I will be very surprised if they don't win at least 10 games next year. The schedule swings in their favor. Oregon, nd, ucf, UCLA at home. USC on the road looks like a loss to me, but who knows.

Stanford doesn't have 500,000 students wandering around campus every year like Berkeley. Berkeley is a great school, but it's still, and always will be, second fiddle as far as exclusivity goes.

I know Stanford fans cling to the "not many alumni" argument.

I've lived in the south bay all my life. I'm so old my dad took me to Stanford to see Elway play. They used to have an 80K stadium and had a lot more people going to the games.

There's no new competition, it's always been the 49ers, Raiders, Stanford and Cal in close proximity.

They went to something like 4 straight BCS bowls and still people won't go to the games. I go to 2 or 3 Stanford games every year, and it's pathetic how empty the stadium is if they're not playing SC or ND. I don't know why, but people just don't care, no matter how successful they are.
