Matching the 1.7 mill. should be a no brainer. He is surely as good as Muschamp and Miles needs him........... :dude:

They should make it $4.5 mil for 3 years.

I'm wondering if this is all about the $$. I hope it is because that is easily solvable.

If these rumors are true, something else is going on besides the money issue. No way LSU would let him walk and risk the fallout if it were just the money.

You do realize we just a commit from one of the best corners in the nation right. If Chavis was leaving don't you think he would have waited to commit. God Damn drama queens.

It's not about money. The contract offer they gave him has language in it making it contingent upon Miles being the HC. So if Miles leaves or retires before the contract is up they don't have to pay Chavis the remainder of the contract.

This has me feeling better. IIRC, Chavis was Amadi's primary recruiter, so if Chavis were planning on leaving it stands to reason that he would probably try to convince kids he was recruiting to follow him.

I've heard it from people that are not in the media too
