Does anyone else kinda feel sorry for Charlie Strong?

There was an exchange between him and a Longhorn DB where the DB was jawing with him as he tried to coach him up.
Then, when Swoopes/Gray fumble into their own end zone and give Arkya TD, just looking at the coaches and the players on the sideline, they just kinda had this "oh well" look.
Seems like he has a team full of knuckle heads, talentless players and guys who generally don't care. Dude has a hell of a long task trying to make this program decent again.

Mack Brown left a stench on that sideline that will take years to fumigate.

I think Charlie has come on too strong with the "it's my way or the highway" deal. If you push that too hard you find yourself alone on an island.

Are you for real? Every coach had 18 year old knuckle heads. The job of the coach is to manage them and win. That's called coaching.

He will be fine in a couple of years.

He's the program stepdad. The biological father let the kids do whatever the frick they wanted and the outcome was bad. Strong is a disciplinarian who expects accountability, which is unfortunate for the bad seeds.
Give him time and let him recruit his guys while Aggie sinks. He's exactly what the program needs.

Yeah every coach has problems to overcome, but there don't seem to be any redeeming qualities about that program aside from the name brand. It looks like it is literally rotted through and through. Almost no talent, entitled player who DGAF, guys that resent you because you're trying to instill some discipline and half the boosters want you to fail because you weren't their guy.

It's hard to believe how good that 2005 Texas team was and what a dumpster fire he was left when he signed on...
And he wished on the monkey's paw for the job don't forget that.
