Good or bad idea?

If it's the set that I have for sale on Facebook, you should buy them.

Of course it works, I'm just concerned about the amp and how they typically hold up. It's a Definitive Tech pro 1000. Would hate to buy it and the amp go out in a year.

That could happen to a new one.

I'm not sure what you want me to say. Sure, buy it.

Subs usually have a "class D" switching amplifier built in. They run very cool and are usually bullet proof as heat is one of the main reasons for circuit failure.
Based on that and no other info, I'll say go for it.
Enjoy the new low end!
