Fires winningest coach in team history

Keeps the GM who whiffed on every lineman pick and traded away half a draft for a WR

Ladies and gentlemen, Arthur Blank

Either fire both or fire neither IMO. Smith should have been fired after the Cleveland game IMO. Dimetroff has drafted horribly for 7 years now. Outside of his top 10 picks he's hit on like 4-5 players

Using a dart board for the draft would yield better results.

Yeah he's a horrible GM.

This is hard to stay objective since I know him personally, but I can tell you he is a great coach. But you build NFL teams much like you build a house, you hire the GM (foundation), hire a coach (frame work), and then build out the rest. But if the foundation is poor the rest of the house just falls apart.

For the Falcons from a pure non-objective standpoint, the best thing for them would be to do a complete rebuild and keep some of your better pieces, that includes digging up the piece of crap that caused the overall failure of the unit. From a Saints' perspective, I am going to laugh my a$$ off if they keep Dimetroff since they'd just be building a new house on a bad foundation that will soon be dilapidated like this one.

Mike Smith seems like a good guy. I hope he finds a another coaching job soon and has has success (as long as it's not against the Saints).

That's my sentiment as well. My dad regularly jokes with him about being his friend except 2 days out of the year.

He seems like a good guy and HC. Hope he gets a new gig somewhere.

I think he's a good coach, but a great man. He'll have a HC job next year. The Jax/Tenn/etc. type teams have seen he can still the turbulent waters.
