Kids a heck of a player but I wouldn't lose a lick of sleep if he didn't come. Pretty obvious our offense will be centered around our backfield for the next few years. Usually only one or two WRs get decent numbers in that scheme. Yea we ran in our D.Byrd/Beckham/Landry/Bowe etc. days but not like I think we're about to. As much as I hate to say it, its the Saban philosophy thats why they're roster is full of 5star WR's but you only hear of one each year lol. Its not as fun to watch but defense and ground and pound wins ship and ill take that. Chi and DJ Chark will hold it down, Chark has yet to play and Miles has been quotes calling him the fastest on the team with Fournette 2nd.

Johnson is a better football player than Malachi IMO and I think a player with his skill set will find a way on the field no matter who is in front of him. He's very similar to Odell, who contributed a great deal as a freshman. I think he's a kid that can drastically impact the offense in a couple of years. I think he's a must get.

Not combating your opinion but I don't think so. Not trying to be a homer or anything but I played some college DB so when I watch these guys on tape I really watch their competition as much as I evaluate them. With that being said yes it is high school so its kinda vanilla but Chi does a ridiculously sick job route running when he's bracketed. While both have good speed I think TJ is a bit shiftier but you have to overlook the reggie bush'esque plays when he runs backwards 30 yards and then turn it up for a score in highlights because that'll be pretty much irrelevant split out at the next level. They both can leap both have good hands but TJ's ability made kids play him cover 3/man style backed off the ball but the safety never gets over the top. That allowed him to that space to make plays, just in the tape ive watched I seldom saw a safety in the deep ball mix which is typical of HS ball but would like to see more skinny post, corner routes, curls between flat and middle 3rd, drag behind LB's, "blocking". There isn't that much difference between them and maybe Chi's system/ staff gave him a better opportunity to showcase those things but for those reasons I think Chi is "proven" better. Could be wrong but....

No he didn't he said that they lead at the moment but also said a lot of positive crap about LSU more so than the rest of those schools. Said something like championship ball, sends lots of WRs to the league, would probably start early, great coaches and so on. Texas Tech would be a terrible pick IMO!!! OK St too so idk?

I think we can all agree that a player of his caliber will have more positives going to LSU than TT or Oklahoma State. You can't overlook the fact LSU has more scouts look at them than any other team except Bama consistently. That catches the attention of many NFL organizations.

Doesn't Jimmy coach his 7v7 team? He seems pretty confident.

Yes, I know Jimmy is usually confident. Just saying he may "know" something here.

LSU sends guys like RR off to the NFL as a high pick with JJ/JL at QB. I don't think it's an issue. If you're good you're more likely to get recognized at a program like LSU than TT. They scout LSU more than those programs because they have such a high influx of NFL players coming from here. Let's not forget it boosts stock playing in the SEC which is known for the most talent in the country as well as solid defenses. You have the national exposure too. Those 2 programs simply aren't on par on LSU's program level regardless how you slice it. I've seen many concerns about those 2 programs when WRs come out but LSU runs a more pro system.

It speaks for itself how many WRs LSU has put into the NFL the past 10 years.

This is a good analysis. I think Johnson is stronger and better at fighting off coverage. Chi can go get it with the best of them and I think if he is more aggressive he will blow up next year. Different style of receivers, but I believe TJ's game will allow him to get more looks and help LSU really develop an intermediate threat with him switching into the slot.
