Under no circumstances do we draft defense in the first 3-5 rounds.

Free agency is for defense.

If every single pick is OL, DL, LB and a CB I would not be mad.

There's too many needs to even approach the draft that way. We need a 2015 FA list thread first.

Drafting cooper would be like buying a car without wheels

We can only wish. Now Kevin White from West Virginia would be available, but I really don't want a wide out unless it's Cooper

Sentrius has it correct. The pick is Cooper if he is there. Free Agency is always defense. Like a fricking corner and linebacker.

Lol no its not. Drafting Cooper would be a mistake. You have to get a top tier pass rusher or a top o-lineman to plug and play.

Not likely to happen but:

if you are Loomis and La'el Collins and Amari Cooper are still on the board...who do you draft?

If Cooper is there when we pick, try to trade down and acquire more picks.

We need to go BA OL or LB in first 2 rounds...

Sign FA CB...we've had better success that way (obviously if we have any cap room)

Collins and don't think twice. He'd be plug and play at G and could take over RT from Strief when he moves on.

We can go O-Line in the 1st. I think we can snag MLB Denzel Perryman from Miami in the 2nd. Dude lays the wood and is a leader; similar to CJ Mosley instincts wise. Did a cartwheel over the pile and made the tackle in the backfield last night lol.

Vilma would love that also

This. If the board shapes up to where someone wants to trade up and we can get more picks, do it. Upright Drew Brees > running fr his life Drew Brees with Amari Cooper.

Okay, so NYJ, JAX, TEN, OAK, TB, and WAS will all have worse records than us.

Lets say MIN beats CHI and PHI beats NYG- that makes CHI 5-11 and NYG 6-10. Assuming SEA beats STL, STL is 6-10 as well.

1. Titans
2. Bucs
3. Jags
4. Raiders
5. Jets
6. Redskins
7. Chicago
8. NYG? NO? STL? How will that shake out?

No way. Cooper is a top 5 pick and Collins is a top 20 pick. If Cooper is there for the Saints, they should either draft him or trade back. I hope they take him.

Say goodbye to Colston and use his money to get OL/LB/CB. Besides the Saints will be picking early 2nd and 3rd round so they can grab OL/LB/CB there.

So you take a Guard rated to go in the teens over the only legit receiver in the draft?

Sorry, but you grab the #1 receiver the saints have desperately needed.

Would we honestly just get rid of the best wide out in Saints history? Doubt it and that would be a ho move. Now I'm hoping Colston takes a big pay cut
