what else is a must buy? Bayonetta 2? (haven't played the first one yet?
what are the great virtual console games? NES Remix?

Bayonetta 2 is my personal GotY so far. It comes with a copy of the first one, which I don't like quite as much but it's still really good. If you're even slightly a fan of games like Devil May Cry, Ninja Gaiden, or even God of War, I highly recommend it.
With that said, I also highly recommend:
Pikmin 3
The Wonderful 101
Smash Bros. Wii U
Hyrule Warriors (is you're into Musou/Warriors games)
Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze
Next year is gonna be good, we're getting Zelda, Star Fox, Splatoon, and the one I'm most hyped about, Xenoblade Chronicles X. Wii U's library is coming along nicely, I'm playing it almost as much as my PC right now.

Probably some of the best on the system not named Mario Kart or Mario World. With that said, I'm a big, big fan of NSMB (but it's ridiculously difficult sometimes), Lego City Undercover (underrated), ZombiiU (different take on FPS), and Wii Party U (just great with any group of people)

Clearly an action game, but it's "different." Think mixing light Pikmin action with a brawler, and that's wonderful 101.
It has some control problems here and there and the game is a bit nonsensical, but it's pure fun.

Pikmin 3 is short but fantastic. I would get it if it was on sale. 10 or 15 bucks is totally worth it.

Have yet to see a thread on it, which is odd considering how great it is and that is on a ton of "game of the year" list.
For any Mega Man or Ducktales fan it is an absolute must buy.

Bayonetta 1 was fun, with a few gripes. I'm loving 2 so far
