wifi wont turn on on galaxy s4

try hitting the button on the drop down menu and in the settings but it wont turn on. phone's not rooted or anything so thats not the problem. tried resetting it with no results. anyone else here ever run into this?
just sent the phone into samsung earlier this month to fix the charging port so really dont want to send it in again if i can avoid it.

pull down the drop drown menu.
hit the settings button
hit Wi-Fi
Select your network.
Now, what does it say?

nothing i cant connect to a network. it wont turn on

so there are no networks available? Or do you select one and nothing happens?
Try turning off wi-fi
Then turn off mobile data
Then turn on airplane mode
then turn wifi back on (still in Ariplane mode)
select your network
Then report back
Try turning off wi-fi

My note 2 has been doing this shite lately. Verizon told me to do a factory reset of my phone and it helped a little, but still happens from time to time.
It looks like it is an issue with the wifi/ Bluetooth antenna (same part). Other than this recent issue, the phone has been great, but can't wait to replace it now

Pull battery on phone and try again after rebooting phone.
