Slang Jeaux, ya dig? He was a groovy war time President. His wartime acumen was neat-o. I'm searching here for terms you would understand.

It's certainly all just opinion. I will acknowledge that most people regard him in high light, but historians see the world through there own eyes and they are overwhelmingly liberal, as are most college professors. Additionally, they view it in hindsight, drawing comparisons to countries that didn't set up these kinds of systems. This creates a chicken and egg conundrum as most wealthy nations with the ability to do so have set these up, so saying "they must be good" ignores a lot.

As far as your statement about feedingt the proletariat, I find your points valid, and agree with your statements about government growth. This is the kind of stuff I like reading.

I also appreciate you taking the time to gather good source data. This has been a refreshing thread.

It's all opinion brother

Flask I've always respected you on financial topics. There is no such thing as a winner in these debates. We just defend what we believe. My beef wasn't at you but people that just shite on the safety net put in place for the elderly. I feel they are the most vulnerable amongst us and we all have grandparents or parents that will need these programs. Thanks for being so gracious.

'Obama care' to get people to take responsibility of there own health care their are two ways to do this 1) Single payer gov't sponsored coverage? or 2) 'Obama care ' mandates coverage.
Number 1 conservatives argue is socialism and will not have any of this . Never understood how socialized medicine was bad considering it means all things are distributed equally among all no matter rich or poor? So that leaves 'Obama care' which conservatives criticize for the mandate.
If you are against someone getting 'free healthcare' and against 'free loaders' then are against gov't mandate to have coverage. What is left? The president told republicans to change things that would improve the bill as long as everyone was covered by insurance. they wanted to start fresh with a new sheet of paper. They wanted to revoke the law without any new plan to replace it.
What plan do you have that would solve this problem? Obama care or single payer are the only 2 ways known to the civilized world.

IRS scandal. Tea party groups are supporting conservative canidates under the disguise of being mostly charity and a little political. They are hiding political contributions through this tax code. The first group to be monitored by the IRS was the NAACP under a Republican administration. Where were you then?
Media Spying or did you mean the 'Homeland security' that Bush and Cheney shoved down our throats. Remember Republicans saying " If you're not with us , you are against us, Unamerican, unpatriotic"
Fast and Furious was a gun toting program started by 'w '. Arizona and Texas have gun flea markets on the border where assault rifles can be bought without any background check or ID given. Also Republicans refused to swear in a ' head of the NFTA' because the NRA belive the NATF are violating the 2nd amendment by sponsoring gun control legislation. Again Republicans get something so fricked up then point the finger at who has to solve their 'frick up',
Benghazi, Republicans slashed over 300 million from thr embassy's in Libya
Now hold hearings about how was it possible for the embassy to get overrun by terrorist. Waste of taxpayer money by Issa. Again Republicans were so 'knee jerck' right to set their agenda and crucify all who question through Fox news but when it gets fricked up like they all do they pass the blame to Democrats who cannot drown out the endless lying loops of Fox and conservative radio.
Anything else I might explain that conservatives freaked up and spend money chasing lies knowing they were responsible all along amazing.
