I never said there was a party shithead. But after ferguson, and new york, and now another shooting in st. louis...knowing the type of black people that populate the quarter it wouldn't be surprising if the local black people, on MLK weekend, decided to make some sort of point. If you don't have anything of substance to contribute then shut the frick up.
Yeah if there was some march on violence Id tell you to probably not involve yourself, but you are being rediculous

You're part of the problem with people who think "atlanta" is so awful, when your only experience there is going to the georgia dome.
The area around the dome sucks dick, as does downtown. People with common sense don't go there unless they have to. I live in the virginia highlands, right next to buckhead, and it's great. And despite what you think, it's Atlanta.

No, you should avoid them at all times. Period.
Atlanta is a big city with many different little pockets that are still "Atlanta". I don't ever go near the dome or downtown or tech unless I'm forced to. Regardless of what day it is. They are dangerous.
There are PLENTY of other areas though around Piedmont park, or the highlands, or buckead, or brookhaven, etc. that are lovely and would be a great place to raise a family.
