LSU TE's block very well

If we're not gonna throw to tight ends, then why don't we just add another tackle eligible like Alabama and Arkansas did against us.

You have to have a QB that can make all the throws (long, short, touch passes,
drilled.) AJ is not that guy, its time to give BH the key's and open up the offense.

seeing as how we just signed yet another tight end, it's obvious our new game plan will have them aggressively showcasedin the game plan. Nah, I was just joshing. I honestly think the tight ends are blinded from that big cloud of dust, and would be ineffective anyway,

Mett wasn't crappy but I will tell you that I saw from the stands a lot of plays where the TE seam or post route was wide open. Saw it this year as well. The QB has to look through the progressions. All of our QBs have struggled with this.

I don't have anything pithy to say. I just wish we would let Steve go and let Henry coach both receivers and tight ends. Then hire a dedicated qb coach as well who can help qb development.

Ensminger and peveto will be at LSU until they don't want to be anymore. Expect special teams to be sub par and the TE's to have 8 catches total or less in 2015.

I don't understand why LSU has 10 freaking TE's if all they do is block. Just recruit more O linemen. I don't get it.

First, Ensminger doesn't call the plays. Having seen every game during the time-frame mentioned, what stands out to me is that more often than not when targeted, the T.E.'s have been decent at getting open and making the catch. Secondly, the Tight Ends during his years have been above average at blocking and at times, dominant blockers. This season in particular, the LSU T.E.'s graded out pretty high in the blocking department. Would love to see them get targeted 4-5 times per game like everyone else but for what they've been tasked to do, I'd so they're coached pretty well.

Im baffled by the fact that talent like DeSean Smith & Jacoby Washington would come to LSU.

All great points. I would just like to add that using the TE more in the middle of the field would help open things up on the outside for our talented WR's to have more space to operate. Of course, this all hinges on the fact that we get competent QB play which has been 100% absent in 2014.

So, until then we wait and hope.

Not throwing the ball to the TE can't really be blamed on him.

I don't put the lack of TE involvement on him, but I question the need to have him on staff to coach a position we just use as an extension of the OL. The standard retort to that used to be "well he helps with the QBs as well" But that would be Cam's job now, so again I don't quite get why we really need him.....but whatever.

We run the ball a lot. But like I have said all season. The TEs were open. The qb just needs to throw it to them. Same with Mett, he just had obj to go to. But multiple times this season Jennings could have made the easy outlet to the te but forced it to dural too many times.

He recruits Texas. We have done well there.

Do you guys watch the games? Plenty of times the tes were 10-15 yards up field. They aren't pass blocking 10 yards away from the los.
