From the comments...ironically enough, I was thinking EXACTLY the same thing:
Beautiful Pony you have there. I've studied medieval literature backing to the early 1100s and it wouldn't surprise me if your pony comes from a royal bloodline. Back in medieval times it was very common for the pony to be brought into the dining halls and perform for the royals. With the tight space it was a real test for the pony to perform it's routine without causing an accident. Any pony that did, was beheaded immediately and cooked for the guests. This allowed only true dancing ponys to evolve. Which leads me to believe your pony comes from great lines.
