he's ahead of the timeline compared to some. many guys don't realize this until they are out of the league.

having said that, the some I refer to are almost never successful and he's done his best to impress no one so far.

now we know why so many teams passed on him. HIs college hype so far has not translated into NFL ability

Yeah, that quote is pretty worrisome. You'd think being a backup all season would have taught him to take the NFL more seriously. I'm a Johnny Manziel fan, but I have no idea if he can get it going at this level.

He just seems really immature. There's much more leeway with those who have the measurables (Cam Newton, Jameis Winston), but when you don't better catch up quick!

No I think flashing your money sign as a back up was the way to go. Make the league hate you before you have proven yourself.

He won't improve unless he gets faster or NFL defensive linemen and linebackers get slower.
