Let's have some anecdotes from your past. Let's keep it K-12, not college.

What made him/her the worst? What made him/her the best?

Mrs Pollard - 2nd year English.

She tried to teach us some refinement - rural school where a lot of us came to school barefooted. She was like a fairy godmother. But strict on discipline and intolerant of any kind of foolishness. I've thought of her fondly at least once a week for the last five decades. Never had a bad interaction with her.

Ms ????? = typing

First year teacher who was totally ineffective and unprepared. It was chaos all day every day.

12th grade english teacher, some memorable times...
* Said I would be a failure in life (ok, she was right on that one!)
* Told me I would get a B in her class if I didn't go to her church
* Said AC/DC was a band to try to convert kids to homosexuality
* Refused to believe that I read pillars of the earth b.c it had taken her 6 months to read it and I read it over christmas break

She was a horrible teacher. I failed a 9 week period b.c I didn't put periods at the end of my sentences in my sentence outline. Literally an F. I complained to her boss, and it was moved to a C. Made an A on the actual paper though.

So many candidates. I had a first grade teacher who tried to convert a left handed, colorblind kid to being right handed, and tried to "teach" him to see colors. She also thought a girl who fell down and was crying was faking it. The child came to school the next day in a cast for her broken arm. Some others who had a mean streak, and some who were merely incompetent, but I guess she was the worst.

I didn't have any great teachers. Some were pretty decent, but none were really great. By the time I was in HS, I had tuned them all out, which hurt me when I got to college and had to learn how to actually pay attention again.
