I say never. Because he will be fired in 3-4 years.

Raiders is the definition of dumpster fire. They are not patient. They are the champion of newspaper headlines.

Look at Bengals. They are patient. They believe what they are doing. Now they have a pretty good team.

Hmm. Let's take a look at this.

Raiders are full of tradition with their black hole or whatever they call their fans. It's been a long time since they won a championship but did have some success in early 2000s. Management is impatient and have been through coaches left and right since dumping their coach that gave them success earlier this decade (Gruden).

Wolverines are full of tradition with their big house. It's been awhile since they won a championship but did have some success in early 2000s. Management has been through a few coaches since dumping their last successful coach.

But the Raiders are a dumpster fire and Michigan is a top 5 coaching destination.

check back a year later you will know what i am talking about:

chargers will stay in san diego

if there is a nfl team in LA, it will be Rams. my guess is unlikely. but if NFL wants a team in LA, it will be Rams

raiders will move to Texas.

There will be no NFL team in LA unless the Chargers are one of them.

I won't pretend to know which nfl team is going to be next franchise to fail in Los Angeles. I mean how many times are they going to let that town get a team just to move elsewhere later.

But I doubt anyone is looking to become the third team in Texas with the smallest market in Texas.

In NFL, the tradition means NOTHING to a coach or a player. Only the fans and marketing guys care about the tradition. And the marketing guys care because they want to sell the fans the concept.

For a coach, at each job, you only have 3-4 years' window. You do not care about Black Hole, Red Hole or whatever Hole they have.

Not working, you are out.
The owner does not like you, you are out.

For a player, show me the money, I will come.

Just giving you a hard time my man. I really do believe he is heading to Ann Arbor as of right now but like I said before until the ink dries nothing is a done deal. The Raiders could swoop in at last minute. I don't think their roster is terrible. Rookie QB looks like a good one. A good draft this year plus some free agents who wanna play for Harbaugh and next thing you know they are a wild card. Possibly win the division with Manning looking his age recently.

Yes. I said it is good to keep the current coaching staff. Raiders is not as bad as their record. It is good enough to be a 500 team.

If 4 years is a coach cycle. You usually need two cycles to be a super bowl team.

Hue Jackson was good. If they kept him, they may be ready for the next push. Too bad, they fired him.

JH is the coach when you are ready for the push. Raiders not ready yet unless you keep him for 8 years.

But patience is the thing lacking in Raiders. Come on, the head coach was let go just a few weeks into the season. The son did not learn from his dad's mistake.

That used to be the case.

But, there are SEVERAL positive signs coming out of that Oakland franchise. And, because of recent history, Oakland offers Harbaugh the same thing that Michigan offers...a chance to be viewed as a savior of a dying franchise/program.

And, of course, it's geographically where Harbaugh wants to be.

Falcons is a underachiever. They need to find a good coach to win the SuperBowl. the window is closing fast.

BTW, why no coaches try to link their name to Raiders job? Why everyone tries to link his name to 49ers job?

Everyone knows Raiders coach job is blackhole, the new tradition.

Al Davis is no longer there. That franchise is bound to turn around, Harbaugh or not. And there's already some good young talent on that team.
