I like what Adam Goldberg does on his show, but I will refrain from trying to lean one way or the other until I make sure the cast is free of boobs like Brendan Frasier.

I guess Chris Rock can't say anything about black people not getting cast in this one since there weren't any in the cartoon.

They've been talking about making a Jetsons movie since the 90s. I think I heard at one point they wanted Britney Spears to play Judy Jetson.
The Flintstone movies didn't set the world on fire. And do kids today know anything about the Jetsons or care about the Jetsons? Seems to me the whole thing would be a great way to blow $150+ million on a shitty movie no one sees.

Big fan of the cartoon but don't want to see a film version with real actors unless there is some top notch writing talent associated with the script.

Even then I don't see how they can translate my favorite character, Astro, from cartoon to real dog.

It's called CGI

Forget CGI. Astro was a fully developed character on the cartoon with the ability to reason and express himself. Unless there's a contrived backstory where dogs have evolved to reach that point in the future, what worked as a cartoon will not work, IMHO, with a real dog. Even a computer generated one.
