I don't know about anyone else, but I am certainly not advocating LSU should have gotten a better bowl because the day/time of the Music City Bowl sucks. The Music City Bowl is fine, the opponent is fine, the host city is fine, the exposure is fine, the 2 pm kickoff on a weekday SUCKS!
I understand that a mid morning or mid day kickoff time is customary for this game, but it doesn't mean it doesn't suck.

But but its Notre Dame and everyone will be watching the game

I was unable to watch the Arkansas game FWIW and the MSU game live.

LSU sold more tickets for this lower tier bowl played at 2pm on a workday than last year's New Year's Day game.
I am going and I expect most LSU fans will find a way to watch it.

Gimme a break about the Texass Bowl. It sells out because there are 1 million UT alums within easy drive-in distance and Arkie is excited to be in any bowl. But, two 6-6 teams? Neither deserves to be in a bowl game at all.
